Enrichment
Friends of Castle Heights provides enrichment opportunities such as Gardening, Science Laboratory Instruction, Art Instruction, Physical Education and Coding Instruction to students through fundraising and events. Our students also enjoy District funded Music and Drama instruction; our students benefit from an education infused with the arts and sciences to develop a well rounded individual.

Gifted & Talented | SAS
Gifted and Talented students need differentiated educational programs and services beyond those normally provided by the regular school program in order to realize their ability to contribute to self and society. Our students benefit from an education infused with Depth and Complexity to allow each learner to work to their potential. Our staff receives 16 hours of training yearly in supporting gifted students, as part of our School for Advanced Studies agreement with the District.

Spanish World Language Immersion Program
The vision for the World Language Program at Castle Heights is to help students develop to their fullest potential as they become bilingual and biliterate to meet the demands of the global workforce. Students receive rigorous academic instruction in both English and Spanish to reach academic proficiency, while gaining an appreciation for the diverse cultures of the Spanish-speaking world in a nurturing and supportive learning environment

Star Education
Castle Heights is proud to work with STAR Education to provide enrichment, after school, and camp programming for our students. We host both the traditional STAR afterschool program, and the STAR ELOP program, provided to students free of charge.

Astro Camp
One of the highlights of 5th grade at Castle Heights is the annual trip to Astro Camp! Located in Idyllwild, AstroCamp provides students the opportunity for individual exploration and discovery in a camp setting where they learn practical life skills, learn to get along with others in a group living situation and forge stronger friendships.

Special Education
Castle Heights Elementary School has a Resource Specialist Program (RSP), and a PAL Classroom (Preschool for All Learners) serving students with special needs in grades PK-5. Our classes are taught by highly qualified and caring teachers and assistants. DOWNLOAD THE PDF.
